Here at TSI Health, we practice "Empathic ABA," which means that our providers have additional training in therapeutic principles, mindfulness, mental health, and trauma. This approach allows for "whole-person" treatment, focused on the needs of the individual, not just the numbers.
Our behavior services are a skill acquisition and goal based method encompassing positive behavioral supports, Applied Behavior Analysis, and therapeutic principles. It focuses on creating a functional environment in the home, school, and community. We target certain maladaptive behaviors and help to transform those behaviors into pro social behaviors. This approach can lead to better mental, physical, and emotional health & wellness.

The target areas provide clients with a well-balanced support plan to ease stress and decrease potential issues. Our services are completely individualized and we can incorporate many types of strategies to achieve a desired result.
All Behavioral Services MUST have a the following listed documents in order to request assessment:
-Full Psychiatric Diagnostic Report
-Prescription for ABA Services from a Medicaid-Credentialed Medical Doctor
***Scripts that are signed by an ARNP/PA will be denied by Medicaid***
-Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
Supplemental Documentation May Include:
-Child Dependency paperwork
-Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessment
-Referrals, Suspensions, School Incidents
-Letters from caregiver, teachers, case managers, or foster parents documenting observed behaviors
***Scripts that are signed by an ARNP/PA will be denied by Medicaid***

FTC Services are divided by age to address the vastly differing needs throughout the lifespan. All referrals under the age of 16 are housed in our Pediatric and Adolescent Department. All referrals over the age of 16 are housed in our Young Adult Department. Check out each department below for additional information.
Eligibility Criteria
-Available for individuals ages 0-21 years of age
-Services include support groups, individual sessions, on-site activities, familial training, etc.
-Client must have one or more mental health diagnosis
-Child/Adolescent does NOT need to be present for service
-54 hours to be used within a 6-month authorization
Using TBRI training, behavioral principles, and family coaching techniques, Trauma-Based Parent Training can help to better equip any caregiver to tackle parenting challenges related to past trauma.
For families who are looking to adopt, our Adoption Transition Training can be a major help! From the initial match to post adoption, our FTC Specialist assists in anticipating needed resources, ongoing mental health education, accommodation and environmental planning, and family bonding activities.
Child welfare has many moving parts and sometimes it is necessary to lend an "extra hand" to ensure that all parties are communicating effectively, and the family is actively engaged. Wraparound Plus services involve linking the family to resources, education regarding a new mental health diagnosis, coordination of care with other service providers, including, but not limited to child welfare case manager, mental health therapist, specialized therapist, guardian ad litem, etc.
*Only available as an add on for families who are already enrolled in a Wraparound Program.
Figure out interests by participating in job shadowing, volunteer projects, internships, etc. Youth 16+ have the opportunity to work amongst peers, professionals, and their very own support system to discover an educational track and career focus of their choice. Individual goal setting and planning allows each individual to build their own unique path.
Following a variety of empirically based curriculum, young adults can choose to focus on topics such as: Health & Nutrition, Understanding Mental Health Diagnoses, Money Management, Extracurricular Interests, Setting Goals, etc. Learning to "Adult" is hard. Why not have a personal guide?
Drop In events are held all over the Jacksonville area and are coordinated by Transition Coaches. These events have purposeful themes to not only encourage fun, but also test skills being learned in one-on-one sessions. Events are held twice per month in the community or at partnership locations!
These events are typically free and sponsored by community donors, partners, and the TSI Cares Foundation, INC.

Transition Coaches help make these things a reality all while providing guidance and building a concrete support system.
